New Friends, New Times

Had a fantastic day yesterday.

Have been talking to Clare, who posted in my comments, for a couple of weeks and we decided to go for a drink, Pepsi Max love from us! (mini WLS meetup!)

I was scared to death, especially when I got there and her husband and daughters were there! But, it was great. Her daughters are amazing and the two little ones are adorable, I could have taken them home with me!

We had a lovely talk, it’s so nice to have someone to talk to and I have Clare and Linda, I feel so lucky, it’s like she said, you can tell people, but no matter what, they just don’t get it, not even close and this consumes you, it’s all you think about and want to talk about, other people get bored so easy, so to have someone who is going through it with you is fantastic.

I wish this was me!

Like she said she is a little behind me, she had her Diabetic and Anesthesiologist meeting this week, so we are thinking as I am about to go into surgery, she will be getting her last Consultant appointment. She seems to have the go ahead too, which is fantastic, obviously Mr Barry or Mr Caplin will confirm that, but I think shes good to go too, but she was smarter than me, after reading about my problem with the sleep apnea test, she went and bought her own to test as she is in the same health board as me, now why didn’t I think of that?! But hey, at least I helped someone, so that made me so happy.

After I left Clare, I walked around town on my own, it’s still so very very scary for me, but I’m doing what I can. I bought  a top and gilet, I’ve always wanted one, I’m sure it looks stupid on me, but I wanted it for walking the dogs, I want some boots too, but it’s hard to get them to fit.

Take one day at a time, and who knows, you might even surprise yourself!

Can you guess what I did when I finished in town, something I haven’t done in nearly 20 years, I was very brave and proud of myself! Can’t believe I done it (Clare, you’re not allowed to guess! :p  )
